Our community is a Buddhist monastery. When you visit our monastery, you may require to follow a few basic rules:
- Buddhists wear white dresses when they visit temples. You may want to wear a bit of formal attire.
- Visitors are required to remove footwear and headgears at the entrance of the temple.
- Silence is essential in Buddhist monasteries. You may become mindful of your speech.
- You can address Buddhist monastics using expressions, such as ‘Bhante’ or ‘Venerable’. Avoid addressing using the first name.
- You may have to sit on the floor.
