The Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka, holds the Bauddha Dharmacharya (Dharmācārya) examination annually. In Sri Lanka, this is the highest academic qualification that a student of Dhamma School can achieve. It remains a recognised and proper qualification to become a Dhamma School teacher.
